1995

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mamas out there! We are so happy to finally announce our blog Simply Southern Mama, and couldn’t think of a better day to share our dreams with the world other than our favorite day being Mother’s Day!

We are so happy that you are here, and know that we will all be friends before you know it.

We feel blessed to share our passion for life through blogging with a twist, an absolute dream of ours to start a Mother and Daughter blog to show the positivity of motherhood throughout the generations that is often overlooked with the long sleepless nights, toddler tantrums, and even those wild and trying teenage years.

Our story started in the spring of 1995. It was the year that Britt had been born, and Linda embarked on this wild and adventurous ride of “MOTHERHOOD”. Going through all the stages of raising two children, watching them leave the nest, starting their lives, marriage, and the best yet had been becoming a Grandmother in the year of 2020 when Britt had welcomed her first born Carter Joseph into the world. (Linda very much dislikes the word “Grandmother” and is known as “MIMI”).

We started this blog in hopes to help Mom’s navigate every season of life. As we find it is hard to filter out the real from fake these days due to the high presence of social media. Don’t get me wrong about social media, when used in a positive way it could bring beautiful things to life. For heaven’s sake I met my husband off of twitter in 2014, and have met some of my very best friends on social media since then. We are just ordinary Mom’s that truly enjoy motherhood, but still feel the anxiety and pressure of day to day life.

Behind every Mom there is a person, and we can’t forget that. We have passions, and aspirations as well. We hope that you follow along and enjoy our way of motherhood lifestyle through recipes, activities, fashion, and wellness with a touch of total chaos because who are we kidding none of us have our $h*t together!
